Tambo Valley Electrics was
first established in 1967 as a Partnership by
Jack & Lenore Richardson. In 1985, when their
son, Stephen, returned to Swifts Creek, a
Company was formed. Tambo Valley Electrics
commenced the HV (high voltage) and LV (low
voltage) reticulation of Dinner Plain village in
the same year. Over the next seven years we were
responsible to the supply authority (Shire Of
Omeo) for the supervision and running of all
aspects of the electricity supply at the
village. Duties include metering, extensions,
design, high voltage operations, maintenance and
maximum demand forecasting.

Valley Electrics, Stephen Richardson is formally
qualified as an A Grade Electrical Mechanic -
Special Class and has over twenty years
experience in the Electrical Contracting
Industry. The latter twelve years in management
and planning within the electrical distribution
industry.
Tambo Valley Electrics hold a contract with
SPAusnet (TXU) to provide 24 hour breakdown/fault
repair. We also undertake inspections,
construction and maintenance of their
distribution assets throughout East Gippsland.
Tambo Valley Electrics is an approved SP Ausnet
(TXU) contractor in the following areas:
- LV ABV Overhead Line Construction
- HV ABC Overhead Line Construction
- Bare Overhead Line Construction
- Underground Cable Installation
- Complex sub-station works
- Pad Mount sub-station installation
- Pole sub-station construction.
Another significant project, TVE has been
involved in was the construction of the
powerlines at Toora Wind Farm. This project
earnt us a Certificate of Commendation from the
National Electrical and Communications
Association (NECA).
Tambo Valley Electrics now specialises in
grid connected solar power. Tom Jack has
recently received his accreditation with the
Australian Business Council for Sustainable
Energy. (BCSE). He is fully qualified to design
and install your grid connected solar power
system as well as stand alone systems.
